Miss State falls to UCLA in opening game of CWS

Miss State (51-19) loses the opening title game in the College World Series in Omaha falling to UCLA (48-17) by a score of 3-1.

The Bruins held off the Bulldogs with pitcher Adam Plutko's performance.  Plutko gave up only one run with only four hits before retiring in the sixth inning.  Defensively the Bruins also performed well against the bulldogs holding off runners in scoring positions in four of the final six innings.

Game #2 will air tonight on ESPN at 8:00 ET.
